Are you an experienced nurse leader who believes great resident care starts with a great team?

At Southfield Village, we’re looking for a compassionate, confident, and people-focused Director of Nursing to lead our Health Care services. This is more than a management position—it’s an opportunity to shape a team, influence resident outcomes, develop future leaders, and make a meaningful difference every day.

If you’re ready to bring your leadership experience to a community where residents come first and team members are valued, we’d love to hear from you.

Why Join Southfield Village?

Your leadership has an impact here.

As our Director of Nursing, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with residents, families, nursing leaders, and administration to create an environment where exceptional care and a strong team culture go hand in hand.

You’ll have the chance to:

  • Lead and develop a talented clinical team.
  • Make a difference in the lives of residents and their families.
  • Influence clinical quality and resident outcomes.
  • Improve processes and bring your ideas to the table.
  • Build a positive culture where team members feel supported and empowered.
  • Partner with leadership to help shape the future of Health Care services.

Your Role

As Director of Nursing, you’ll provide strategic and day-to-day clinical leadership for our Health Care services. You’ll oversee nursing operations while serving as a coach, advocate, problem-solver, and trusted leader for your team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting the Assistant Director of Nursing, MDS Coordinator, Scheduling Coordinator, and Central Supply/Medical Records Coordinator.
  • Recruiting, developing, coaching, and supporting nursing team members.
  • Monitoring staffing and absenteeism to help ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Reviewing clinical quality indicators and leading follow-up and improvement efforts.
  • Leading quality improvement initiatives and Performance Improvement Plans.
  • Reviewing clinical reports, incidents, and accidents and ensuring appropriate follow-through.
  • Leading the Clinical Management Team and partnering with administration on clinical priorities.
  • Participating in care plan meetings and partnering with residents and families.
  • Addressing resident and family concerns with compassion and professionalism.
  • Supporting admissions and Medicare eligibility determinations.
  • Ensuring nursing licenses and CNA credentials are properly verified.
  • Supporting compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Assisting with nursing department operational and capital budgets.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve resident outcomes, clinical processes, and the team member experience.
  • Modeling Greencroft’s CROFT values: Creativity, Respect, Openness, Fairness, and Teamwork.

What Makes You a Great Fit?

You don’t have to have every skill listed below—but you should bring strong clinical leadership, a passion for people, and a commitment to quality care.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Current Indiana RN license.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • At least 1 year of management experience.
  • 5 years of geriatric nursing experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of MDS.
  • Experience with resident assessments and care plans.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A compassionate, respectful, and resident-centered leadership style.
  • A genuine desire to develop people and build a team that succeeds together.
