Construction Specialist

Greencroft Goshen – Goshen, IN

We are seeking an experienced Construction Specialist to complete apartment turnovers, renovations, and other construction projects throughout our senior living campus. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, enjoys seeing a project through from start to finish, and understands the importance of creating safe, comfortable spaces for older adults.

Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Weekend and holiday rotation

Pay Range: $22.50 - $29.24 \ Per hour depending on experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Remodel apartments during resident turnovers, including demolition, framing, drywall installation, finish work, and trim carpentry.
  • Complete basic plumbing projects involving toilets, sinks, showers, and plastic or copper piping.
  • Perform basic electrical work, including running circuits and wiring residential fixtures.
  • Assist with minor construction and improvement projects across the campus.
  • Coordinate with other Maintenance team members and departments to complete projects efficiently.
  • Transport tools, supplies, and materials between campus facilities and the Service Center.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Complete assigned projects independently while meeting Greencroft’s standards for quality, conduct, and performance.
  • Provide occasional weekend emergency coverage for general maintenance needs.

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Three or more years of general carpentry experience preferred.
  • Experience with construction, remodeling, or physical plant operations.
  • Working knowledge of carpentry, drywall, basic electrical, and plumbing.
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects without close supervision.
  • A cooperative attitude and the ability to work well with other team members and departments.
  • Current, valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stoop, lift and carry construction materials, and perform physical work safely and efficiently.
