Qualified Medication Aide - QMA - Assisted Living

Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) – Part-Time Day Shift (Assisted Living)
Oak Grove | Greencroft Communities | DeMotte, IN
Pay Range: $20.49 – $22.71 per hour + shift and weekend differentials
Schedule: Part-Time, Day Shift (Approximately 40 hours per pay period)

Position Summary:

Oak Grove, part of Greencroft Communities in DeMotte, IN, is hiring a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) for our assisted living community. This part-time day shift role is perfect for a compassionate caregiver with strong attention to detail and experience in medication administration, CNA duties, and resident care. The QMA will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse to ensure safe medication delivery and high-quality care for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely administer medications (oral, topical, rectal, ophthalmic, and otic) in accordance with physician orders and state regulations
  • Monitor, observe, and report medication effects, side effects, and changes in resident condition
  • Accurately document medication administration, refusals, and withheld doses in electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Communicate effectively with LPNs, RNs, and care team
  • Ensure compliance with Indiana state regulations, assisted living standards, and infection control protocols
  • Provide compassionate, resident-centered care in a long-term care / assisted living environment
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Active Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) certification – Indiana
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification – Indiana
  • Completion of a state-approved medication administration course
  • Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or senior care preferred
  • Knowledge of medication administration, EMR documentation, and healthcare equipment
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide compassionate care to seniors and work in a team-oriented environment
